Welcome to FiT AS®

A revolutionary new fitness testing and reporting tool that accurately and objectively delivers recommendations on how to improve a participant’s health and well-being.
Please watch the video below to find out how FiT AS® is changing the way our children engage in physical activity and exercise

What is Obesity?
A person is obese when their body mass is higher than 30. The BMI (Body Mass Index) measures a person’s weight in relation to their height, giving them a score. A normal BMI is considered 18.5 to 24.9

What is FiT AS®

FiT AS® (Fitness Testing and Assessment Scorecard) is a revolutionary program aimed at tackling childhood obesity.

Our system has been developed in conjunction with leading researchers at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) School of Medical Sciences, Exercise Physiology to capture data from the playground and to deliver accurate and meaningful results.

These results are then interpreted by our system with objective intervention strategies and programs recommended to help improve the overall fitness levels of the students tested.

Worldwide, the total number of obese people has reached a staggering 2.1 billion, which makes up about 30% of the total population. This number continues to rise, with over 3 million people each year dying from obesity.  The worldwide rate of obesity has tripled since 1975.

Childhood overweight and obesity is a worldwide epidemic that affects 340 million (1 in 6) 5-17 year olds. 28% of Australian boys and girls, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), are considered overweight or obese.

Reporting on a succinct level

FiT AS® provides a range of reports customised for the relevant stakeholders

SchoolS SUMMARY Dashboard

Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a principal or a state or federal politician, FiT AS®can generate reports relevant to what’s important to you.

The data captured from the fitness testing on the playground can be delivered in numerous ways to help stakeholders create age appropriate intervention strategies that will deliver improved outcomes.

The days of waiting for expensive and lengthy data research and analysis, that then ends up getting shelved with no planning or implementation are over! FiT AS® can generate accurate reports (by school, by gender, by age or by suburb, region or state) that allows immediate action to be taken to help improve the overall fitness levels of those participants tested.

SCHOOL Dashboard

FiT AS® delivers the breakdown of test results and data for each school.

Comparisons can then be made across the different education systems (Public, Catholic and/or Independent), or across aged classes from differing geographies and/or socio-economic demographies, allowing early identification of patterns that appear from the data, which help us to better understand needs specific to each area

Student DASHBOARD

Never before has Australia had access to such up to date and relevant data, taken straight from the playground.

Within seconds of the results being uploaded, FiT AS® interprets that data and generates individual reports on every student tested.  These reports not only assess the student’s ability across each of the five (5) exercises tested compared to all other students in the system of that gender and age, but it provides age appropriate intervention strategies to help improve that student (based on all of their results) to the next ‘acceptable’ level.

This is a great tool for the class teacher or external PE/Sports provider to then focus on throughout the school year.

STUDENT REPORTS

The information captured in each individual STUDENT DASHBOARD (above) can easily be customised and downloaded in .pdf format.

A school representative (nominated Sports Coordinator or Class Teacher) is then provided with a security passcode who is granted access to the system enabling him/her to email all student reports (for their school only) back to their own email address where the reports can then be distributed to each relevant class teacher and discussed with the school’s Executive Committee and with parents at upcoming Parent:Teacher interviews.

Never before has a school had such a high level of reporting that allows teachers to sit with parents and discuss the physical activity levels and abilities of their children.

Each report highlights comparisons between test rounds and more importantly, suggests intervention strategies (in layman’s terms) that will help each student improve to the next acceptable level.

FiT AS Report Example

Australian Obesity Statistics
Two thirds (67%) of Australian adults are either overweight or living with obesity
There are 900,000 more people living with obesity today (not including those who are overweight), compared to just 3 years ago
The number of people with obesity in Australia has more than doubled in the past decade from 2.7 million to 5.8 million
Researchers say if the current rate continues, 40% of Australian adults will be obese within the next 10 years

The results speak for themselves

“The biggest benefit this program has had on our kids is their change in attitude towards fitness and physical activity. Last year our students fitness improved, as an overall average, of 24%”

“Until now, it has been relatively time consuming, costly and difficult to obtain accurate data on the fitness levels of our children. FiT AS® is a very cost-effective and speedy way to collect this data and provide Action Plans to help reverse the current growing cycle of childhood obesity”

Prof-Fiona-Naumann

Fiona Naumann

Professor – Exercise Physiology

“This is a non evasive way to measure the fitness of a child and therefore the health of a child.
FiT AS® not only gives an objective and accurate assessment of fitness, but it provides valuable data in preventing childhood obesity”
